The highest decision-making body of KBS named Professor Yu Jae Cheon as new Chairman of the station's Board of Governors.
Selected at a Board of Governors' meeting held on June 5, 2008, Mr. Yu will lead the body till the end of August 2009.
Professor Yu said he will put his maximum efforts to make KBS as the most trusted and loved media organization in the country.
The new Chairman has taught Journalism at a number of universities in Korea and held a variety of notable positions in the media society.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kim Hong, Executive Vice-President resigned from the position in early June.
Mr. Kim joined KBS in 1980 as a TV news reporter and served as the station's Executive Vice-President since April, 2005.
