Rabinovitch Mistaken on Hollywood Movies

Chris Cobb quotes outgoing CBC president Robert Rabinovitch as saying "there is not one American show after 7:30 or eight o'clock at night. And the movies are on in the summer, basically replacing hockey".
Any CBC television viewer will know that Rabinovitch is mistaken. CBC has broadcast seven American movies after eight o'clock this autumn, among them "Braveheart", "Supersize Me", "Elf" and "Polar Express". If this trend continues, CBC television will be airing 30 Hollywood movies this fall, winter and spring.
If Rabinovitch is mis-informed on a matter so fundamental to CBC's mandate, what else, in the words of the late Will Rogers, does he know for sure that just ain't so?
