Letter to the Editor of The Record re David Driver's CBC comment, March 28, 2005

David J. Driver (The CBC operates as a branch of the Liberal government, March 28/05) misinformed Record readers when he said that every man, women and child pays almost $300 a year to finance the CBC. The correct figure is $32.58. That's 9¢ per day from each of us. In an Ipsos-Reid poll last year Canadians were asked if they would like CBC to have more, the same or less money: 38% said more, 51% said the same amount, and 9% said less. It seems that Mr. Driver is part of that 9%.
