Broadcasting group launches award

FREDERICTON (CP) – The Friends of Canadian Broadcasting has launched an annual award for original essays exploring the links between democracy and journalism. The award is dedicated to commentator Dalton Camp, who died earlier this year.

The award will be available to up to three Canadians annually. Each award consists of a $5,000 prize and a bronze medal. The deadline for submission of essays is March 31, 2003.
