MONTREAL (Hollywood Reporter) - Canadian broadcaster CanWest Mediaworks will rebrand its domestic cable channel Lonestar, which centers on American Westerns, as MovieTime, a digital offering of popular Hollywood movies.

Toronto-based CanWest said that MovieTime, which goes live October 6, will feature about 250 Hollywood movies each month, including such titles as "Independence Day," "The Bourne Identity" and "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider."

Lonestar, which launched in 2001, featured classic Western films and TV series like "Bonanza."
